Covered & Ineligible Vessels

Covered Vessels

  • Airboats, catamarans, motor sailors, navigating houseboats, pontoon boat, sailboats, and trailercraft and yachts
  • Vessels made from fiberglass, metal, or wood
  • Custom-built vessels (subject to a comprehensive review of details)

Ineligible Vessels

  • Permanently moored houseboats, homebuilt vessels, trimarans, commercial vessels, research vessels, and designer racing sailboats/catamarans
  • Vessels that exceed a maximum speed of 90 mph
  • Ferrocement vessels, carbon fiber vessels, or other vessels constructed from high-performance materials
